Box in walnut and "repoussé brass", 17th century

Small rectangular box in walnut with a rich brass decoration embossed with flowers, foliage and arabesques.
Our box is a fine example of boxes made during the reign of Louis XIV in the 17th century, of which we find the technique of embossed brass decoration also used in the production of mirrors of the same period.
