Two characters proudly wearing the showy attire of the lansquenets, Germanic mercenaries enlisted in the armies of the Holy Empire, who sowed terror on European battlefields from the end of the 15th century until late in the 16th century. Armed with a halberd and short sword, closer to a dagger than the two-handed longsword they typically used in combat. More precisely Doppelsöldner ", the elite of the lansquenets (who received double pay, hence their name). As their uniforms were not defined by regulations, a great fantasy reigned in their clothing.
Thanks to Mr Chauveau for his competition.
