Gold Snuff box Late 18th century

Rectangular snuffbox with angled corners sides. The box in several tons of gold presents an exceptional « guilloché » decoration in lozenge reminding a work of basketry. This elegant work is framed by a stylized floral frieze with several shades of gold against an amati background.
The same decoration is presented on the back and the bottom of the snuffbox. The angled corners are decorated with stylized floral motifs.
