Adolphe Henri DUBASTY (1814-1884) entered the Beaux-Arts in Ingres's studio from 1832. He exhibited portraits, subjects of genre and history, from 1846 to 1879.
The Louvre preserves of him "David holding the head of Goliath", from 1846.
19th century frame, bearing an "A.H. DUBASTY, pupil of Ingres, hors concours".
Mark on the panel at the back "of S.MARTIN brothers", supplies for Fine Arts, and two labels.
