Incense burner, hexagonal shape, rests on 6 feet, in earthenware from Satsuma (southern Japan) with floral decoration of daffodils on all sides, with polychrome enamels and gold. The broad shoulder is decorated with blue enamels (gosu) called "imperial blue". The openwork silver cover represents a chrysanthemum. Signed under the bottom Shimazu Gyokuzan (?). Period: Meiji (1868-1912). late 19th century.
