KOBAKO – Japanese lacquer little box of a Biwa – urushi. Instrument of the goddess of music Benten. Mokume of gold and silver togidashi, nashiji, kirigane and strings in takamaki-e. nashiji lacquer on the back and inside. Plovers chidori in flight in the lower part of the box. Size : 20,5 x 7,5 cm. Japan Edo (1603-1868) 18th century. References : The lacquer boxes of the Marie Antoinette Collection, Château de Versailles and Musée Guimet in Paris.
