* Louis-François-Eugène CORNU (1827-1899) Paris
The very high quality of the decoration combined with the abundant use of onyx marble from Algeria allows this achievement to be attributed to Louis-François-Eugène Cornu, both a great designer, creator and manufacturer of decorative art objects under the reign of Napoleon III. Along with Ferdinand Barbedienne or Bernard-Alfred Meyer was considered one of the best Parisian luxury goods manufacturers under the Second Empire.
