Chaekgeori screen
Attested in Korea at the end of the 18th century, chaekgeori, literally "books and objects", constitute a category of still life. These book screens that describe the idealized interior of a scholar's study are studded with auspicious symbols. Chaekgeori is a very popular pictorial genre from the Joseon period (1392-1910).
