Beautiful carved and polychromed wooden pieta with a hollowed back.
The Virgin is seated, holding her Son on her knees; she is wearing a dress and wearing a veil forming a coat, a section of which comes back to the front, in a movement with remarkable classicism. This characteristic, as well as the proportions of Christ and his emaciated appearance indicate a work of Southern Austria.
