A Japanese Daikokuten with oni

An exceptional ivory and boxwood okimono with mother-of-pearl applications. Daikokuten, the God of the five cereals and one of the seven Gods of fortune, represents the health with his classic hammer.

He’s smiling in the act of referee the fight between the two oni in front of him and the winner will get the pearl necklace he holds around his neck.

This Okimono is wonderful and would beautify and increase the importance of any Italian and world wide collection.
