This pair of albarelli was made in Spain during the 17th century. In earthenware, they are both cylindrical in shape with a slightly concave waist and are decorated in blue with vegetal motifs. This form of medicine jar is the most widespread in modern times, and had both aesthetic and utilitarian value in pharmacies or among apothecaries.
