He is the cousin of Georges Jacob, received master on September 29, 1779 he settled in rue Bourbon Villeneuve.
In 1799 he set up shop 108 rue Neuve Saint Etienne at the corner of Boulevard Bonne Nouvelle until 1806 while his workshops were at 20 rue de l'Echiquier
The auction of March 16, 1800 in his store on boulevard Bonne Nouvelle signals the end of his business. Many seats are described, but also cabinetmaking, most of the furniture was in bramble mahogany, speckled and satin.
He definitively ceases his trade around 1806, from this date he no longer appears in the trade almanac and until his death in 1824
