Statuette of a Venus

Bronze statuette representing a Venus standing on her left leg, her right leg slightly bent. Both arms are missing. The details are finely sculpted, the modeling is subtle. The goddess is wearing a tiara. The statuette is
heightened by a small cylindric base.

Roman art, 1st-2nd century AD

Provenance:
Formerly in the French private collection, acquired at gallery Jean-Philippe Mariaud de Serres, in the 1990s.
