Floral Composition Margherita Caffi (Cremona, 1647 - Milan, September 20, 1710) was an Italian painter. Daughter of the painter of French origin Vincenzo Volò, born in Cremona in 1647, Margherita Caffi is best known for her compositions of fruits and flowers. Among his patrons are the Archduke of Tyrol (many of his paintings are still in Austria today), the Kings of Spain and the Grand Dukes of Tuscany; in particular her art was greatly appreciated by Vittoria Della Rovere. The last years of his existence were spent in Milan, where he started a thriving local school of still life painters. Oil on canvas cm. 77 X 32 Contemporary setting, excellent restoration
