Como chest of drawers moved centrally and laterally in walnut with various wood inlays from the mid-18th century.
The main decorative motifs with ribbons and flowers constitute a further independence from the simpler and more linear Lombard vintage models.
Here the attachment to the traditions of the early eighteenth century is very marked, we can see in the cut of the raised and curved feet and in the rocaille frieze that borders the curved apron as well as in the pronounced move an elegant, fine and very refined Louis XV style.
The technique of inlay with light boxwood on the walnut is a typically Como peculiarity.
Also significant is the consonance of these types of decoration that develop with a broad design, involving the whole front, the sides and the upper part of the piece of furniture with decorative methods in some respects similar to those of the Piacenza drawers.
This chest of drawers moved centrally, laterally, with a refined and constant decorative inlay, measuring 120 x 90 x 60 cm, is a great example of 18th century Italian cabinet-making.
