Pair of Miniatures painted on ivory with ivory frames representing the first balloon tests :

- The one signed MEREUC presenting Caroline in flight on the back in manuscript "Ascension to St Cloud" (see doc. July 15, 1784 by the Duke of Chartres "Les Ballons Collection Muller" page 74).

- The other signed DINE presenting the balloon with a view of the military school on the back in manuscript "Ascension to Champ de Mars" probably representative of the experience of Tuesday March 2, 1784 at the Champ de March by Jean-Pierre Blanchard (see doc “The Balloons Muller Collection” Quénot page 68).

Dimension : diameters of 8.4 cm.
