Rare jewelry box in blackened wood deeply molded, octagonal, opening with two lids, period N.III.
It presents an exceptional decoration in finely worked bronze and repoussé brass, mixing gadroons, interlacing, shells and foliage.
We note more particularly the presence of eight fauns sitting around the main cover.
To this rich bronze ornamentation are added bright ocher hard stones symbolizing fruit.
This charming box rests on eight claw feet.
The interior is lined with an old red silk.
