This beautiful blue lamp is the work of Paul Milet, at the end of the 19th century. Made of flamed porcelain, its deep blue will dress your interior with an intense veil.
Paul Milet is the son of the famous ceramist Félix Optat Milet, also called Optat Milet. After training in the laboratory of the Manufacture de Sèvres, he became a chemist and worked in the factory founded by his father in 1866 at 8, rue Troyon in Sèvres, a stone's throw from the Manufacture. This factory will continue to influence him all his life.
He began to follow in his father's footsteps in 1890 and, like him, continued to collaborate with artists from the National Ceramic Factory of Sèvres. He will work side by side with his father until his father's death in 1911, then with his son Henri.
Paul Milet exhibited in various salons throughout his career. He notably obtained a gold medal for his earthenware at the Universal Exhibition of 1900.
