Worker in the shape of a fish - late 19th century

This lacquered woodworker with the lid of the box is in the shape of a fish, dates from the end of the 19th century. This box rests on three finely worked and curved feet.

This piece is decorated all over with Asian-inspired flowers. The fins as well as the flowers on the spacer are worked in relief, giving rhythm to the surface of the wood.
