Refined pair of Louis XV Venetian mirrors measuring 110 x 64 cm in the first half of the eighteenth century, carved walnut wood, carved and gilded with original glass mercury of the '700, with final cimasa and legs carved with scrolls and ribbons.
The Baroque period is a style particularly congenial to the creation of mirrors, as objects with a simple structure: a carving rich in embossed decorations is the best and most effective way to enhance it. This beautiful couple is an eloquent demonstration.
Curious mirrors characterized by an exuberant baroque carving, composed of architectural elements capable of fusing and giving an elegant and full of vitality, embellished by the elegant contrast between the two different types of gold used. The scrolls with foliage and cartons denote an elegant interpretation of the Baroque repertoire.
The glass parts are absolutely original and have a typical Murano blown glass processing. The excellent quality, as well as the depth of about 2/3 mm, of the glass, the reflections in many parts really luminescent and the level of precision millimeter coincide with the glass mercury Venetian eighteenth century.
The part of the mirrors is also all perfectly intact, they are both mercury mirrors; rather it turns out to be the original mirror of the mirror as evidenced by the morphology of the stains matured in the centuries of life. The grinding is typically eighteenth-century in terms of technique and quality. Of particular impact the representation of these spirals so strong, vivid, built with a cast of a very impressive construction vis but at the same time graceful and snappy. All glass parts are healthy. The state of conservation, taking into account the fragility and the age of the object, is fantastic.
The Venetian models always in the forefront in the world find fame and success thanks to their lightness and in these always rich and imaginative shapes that stand out for the robust carving but with a very fine and exuberant line, where the decorative repertoire with an ample carving and with a marked naturalistic intonation on the imaginative suggestions reaches its culmination with an elegance and a sobriety able to create a right and elegant mix.
An irreplaceable detail of today's eighteenth-century furnishing, the mirror can be placed above a console or above a fireplace, or occupy the entire wall or part of it, if large.
