Large two-tone mirror - Lombardy - 17th century

This important mirror was made in Lombardy during the 17th century.
An elegant, finely crafted laurel frieze delimits the inside of the mirror's view. As far as the frame is concerned, it is characterised by its geometric appearance. Indeed, the shaping of the relief highlights the desired contrast with the use of different wood shades, allowed by the use of a two-tone alloy of blackened wood and olive veneer.
