This charming gilded bronze candleholder Henri II has a sculpted candle holder, with a hole to hollow out the wax from the candle that was placed there. This candleholder has a Doric column whose bulging truncated conical shaft is finished with a pedestal on a square element, all resting on a wide circular base. This structure gives our room an architectural aspect very appreciated in the decorative arts under Henry II. It is worth noting the magnificent patina but also a slight restoration of use at the base.
