This Italian console is finely carved with a rich neoclassical decoration, and is in its original gilding.
It rests on four tapered legs, adorned with filleted flutes, topped with a frieze of interlacing. The four uprights, in protrusion, are decorated with floral rosettes.
The apron has an openwork decoration of intertwined circles, and has a fifth central protrusion in its center, itself carved with fluting.
This console is topped with a rare Italian marble from the same period, veined with white, red, grey and brownish green. This original marble perfectly matches the five protrusions.
