Eduard Schulz-Briesen, is a painter of genre and portraits, born in Neuss on May 11, 1831, died in Düsseldorf on February 21, 1891.
Student of Hildebrandt, Sohn, Schadow, Vautier, Dykmann and Wappers. In 1848 he came to work at the Düsseldorf Academy and in 1851 settled in Antwerp where he remained for several years. Finally in 1871 after several trips to France and Germany, he returned to Düsseldorf.
Bronze medal in London in 1890.
