Small dresser Louis XV bearing the stamp of the famous cabinetmaker Jacques Dubois (1693-1763) and the check mark "JME" of the Jurande of Parisian master cabinetmakers.
It opens with two drawers without crosses that are inlaid with an elegant reserve fretwork rosewood.
The uprights have beautiful bronze falls extended by "arretes" characteristic in the manner of Jacques Dubois. There is
bronze shoes decorated with foliage on the feet.
This dresser is topped with a marble called "Rance" from Belgium.

Our wink: Jacques Dubois (around 1693-1763) is one of the best cabinetmakers in Paris during the reign of Louis XV. He worked for a long time as a free laborer in the Faubourg Saint Antoine before obtaining his master's degree at the age of 49. Jacques Dubois knew during his lifetime a great notoriety with both French and foreign customers.
