BONNIER of MOSSON BAILLY
General map of the Royal Captainry of the Varenne des Tuileries, raised in 1733 and engraved in 1737, by the orders and at the expense of Mr. Bonnier de La Mosson bailiff and captain of the Hunts of the ladt. Captaincy.
Original map engraved in 1737.
Double large folio.
Superb cartouche and decorative wind roses.
Size: 78 x 54 cm.
Excellent condition for this card of any rarity (not listed in the excellent work of Boutier on maps and maps of Paris).
Map with the new routes of western Paris.
The author completes with great precision the lines of the Delagrive map made in 1730.
We find: Chaillot, Boulogne, Monceaux, Auteuil, Montmartre,
and the communes of:
Paris, Boulogne; Clichy; Asnieres; The Courneuve ; Le Bourget; Pre-Saint-Gervais; Ile-Saint-Denis; Noisy-le-Sec; Pantin; Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, Romainville; St Denis ; Saint-Ouen.

Joseph Bonnier, second of the name, Baron de la Mosson, born in Montpellier on September 6, 1702, had inherited at the age of 24 the fortune and the office of his father, treasurer general of the states of the province of Languedoc.
