Elegant donkey desk in walnut and fruit wood marquetry with the label of Jean-François HACHE dated 1774 (label "type IX" in the Génie des Hache, ed Faton).
The flap has an inlaid decoration typical of the production of Jean-François HACHE: two small reserves in magnifying cloudy sycamore and a large one central reserve consisting of four tinted beech leaves.
Entangled ebony nets surround these three reserves.
At the edge of the flap there is quarter round with a frame of rosewood and sycamore.
The flap, is lined with a black leather serving as an inkstand on the reverse.
Inside there is a tier with four drawers and two lockers on three levels. The upper left drawer bears the label of Jean-François HACHE. We find in the lower right drawer the usual three boxes for the inkwell, the metal powder and the sponge box.
There is a drawer with blackened edges in a belt.
This bouncy office is based on a slender base, curved and chamfered.
The feet end with "doe" hooves characteristic of the production of the Ax.
