An important Paleolithic Venus, an anthropomorphic idol representing a prehistoric fertility goddess , carved in the round from sandstone pigmented with red ocher.

From the private collection of Mr. Pierre Roller in Luxembourg, from 1968 to 1995, he was librarian of the Grand Ducal Court in Luxembourg and deceased in 2010. Acquired by him from an old private collection in Portugal, reportedly excavated in the early 20th century.
