Hans Stoltenberg-Lerche, born in 1867 in Düsseldorf, Germany, died in 1920 in Rome, Italy. Son of the Norwegian painter and writer Vincent Stoltenberg, he participates in numerous international exhibitions and remains in close contact with the Norwegian communities in Paris and Rome.
From 1886, he began working as a sculptor in Paris where he studied this field until 1890, before becoming a student of the painter Eugène Carrière.
He created many sculptures for the city of Paris and many models for the Goldscheider manufactory.
1900: Gold medal at the Universal Exhibition.
