An oil on cardboard measuring 35x27 cm (without its frame) representing the port of Honfleur signed lower left by Max Band (1900-1974) Max Band lost his father at the age of three and his mother two years later . After a difficult childhood, he moved to Germany for three years (1920-1923) and studied painting in a free academy. In 1923 Max Band arrives in Paris. In 1926 he made his first stay in New York, where he was called an exhibition at J.B. Newmann Gallery.
