A medieval Christ in ivory, beautifully worn and patinated by age. His face showing a mellow expression. Around his head a series of holes can be seen that originally contained the individually sculpted thorns. He is dressed only in a perizonium that is partially draped over the left leg ending in a V-shaped point. In the cavities left and right of the upper torso there are remnants of the wooden pegs by which the arms were originally attached to the body.
