Regency Commode Called mazarin, attributed to Thomas HACHE

This "Mazarine" chest of drawers has three rows of curved drawers decorated with geometric patterns.
The gilded bronze handles go down very low on the drawers and are typical of the models used by Thomas Hache (ref 76, page 208 The Axes' Engineering). The cut outs are also decorated with gilt bronze falls. They end with pretty foliage "fungated" hooves.
The sides follow a design frequently used by Thomas Hache: a diamond sumont of a small walnut rectangle without upper net.
The tray is adorned with an inlaid pattern of geometric patterns, enhanced by a Maltese cross.

The use of fruit trees, the model of the bronzes, as well as the design of the marquetry allow to attribute this rare chest of drawers of the early eighteenth time to Thomas Hache.
