The overall design of the present daybed can be compared with similar examples made by Jacob Frères between 1796 and 1803. A daybed of similar design was made by Jacob Frères for the Château de Neuilly, illustrated, Denise Ledoux-Lebard, Les Ebénistes du XIX siècle, Paris, 1984, p. 269.
