This limestone head represents a child, perhaps the Child Jesus of a Virgin in majesty or the head of an angel.
It has hemmed eyes whose upper eyelid is double. The beautiful hair is composed of large locks ending in curls, which are also found in the neck, without any representation of the hair by carving stone. This suggests that the head was painted.
Accidents and visible lacks. The nose is broken, the lips and the chin are damaged. The left cheek, as well as the chin, have gaps.
Inscription in pencil not deciphered. We distinguish the term "Benedictine" making some reference to an abbey of this order from which this head would come.
