This table-desk shows simple lines and a refined making testifying of the French production during the last years of Louis XIII reign.
The elegance of this model comes from its proportions and from the quality of execution of the wood turning.
The four feet are shaped as balusters standing on flattened bun. An H-shaped spacer centred by a spinning top links the large dices.
The rectangular tabletop stands on a large moulded belt where are located two drawers.
The baluster shaped feet allow us to date this fine table from the second half of the 17th century.
