Charles Poyard, pair of Asian-inspired flasks

This pair of flasks reminds us, particularly through the use of gilding and the finesse of detail, the arts of Islam, it is also and above all influenced by Chinese art. The form of these pieces comes directly from the repertoire of Asian art, as shown by some works of the Qianlong dynasty (China, 1736-1795). To the sobriety of Chinese forms, Poyard adds the ostentatious and luxurious dimension of Islamic art, particularly goldsmith's work.
