Louis XIV Cabinet and pedestal
In red tortoiseshell, small nets of ivory and blackened wood.
It opens with 10 drawers framing a central door with two leaves. This door reveals a theater with checkerboard background, game of ice and gilded wooden columns.
The sides are clad with precious wood and blackened wood separated by small ivory nets decorated with a geometric marquetry.
6-column base in blackened wood.
Very nice piece of collection and decoration.
Flemish origin, late seventeenth century.
