This still-life is painted by one of the most prominent still-life painter in Holland during the 17th century.
Pieter Claesz was born in Haarlem in 1597 and died there in 1660.
Our painting is signed with his monogram and dated 1648.
In very good condition, on a beautiful oak panel that consists of 2 horizontal wooden oak planks.
Expertise was made by Dr. M. Brunner-Bulst in 2009 and by Dr. Fred Meijer in 2018.
His paintings fetch up to 3 million euro in auction, one recently sold in New York fetched 2,5 million dollars.
