Rare series of twelve oval enamelled plates in grisaille on a black background with gold inscriptions.
The busts of the emperors are represented, either in profile on the left or on the right.

Original boxwood frames; probably in the 18th century.
Very good state of conservation. A restored shine on the Vespasian plate, a burst on the Titus plate.

Presented in a modern frame.
