Christ suffering around 1650

The sculpture comes from Hans Degler's workshop in Weilheim South Germany around 1650. The statue was carved by his son David Degler.
The statue is carved in a single block of wood.
Christ is carved in lime wood of an extremely fine quality.
The thorn crown is from a branch of a rose bush.
The index of the left hand is completed.
The polychrome is in a very good state of conservation.
