Pretty nativity painted on copper 18th century. It represents the birth of the baby Jesus in the stable of Bethlehem surrounded by his mother Mary, Joseph, the donkey, the ox and the shepherds.
An angel stands above the group, in the clouds, holding in his hands a phylactery bearing the inscription: "Gloria in excelsis Deo".
Presented in a posterior wooden frame
Historical anecdote: The song "Gloria in excelsis Deo" is a song of praise to the Holy Trinity. The first words of this hymn, also called "angelic hymn", resume the song of angels in Bethlehem.
