An oil on canvas measuring 65X54 cm representing a young Berber woman from the Ouled Nail tribe (Algeria) dated 1932 and signed by Gaston VENTRILLON Le Jeune (1897-1982). This painting was exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in 1933 (under the reference N ° 5061)
Painter and watercolourist, he was the youngest of three siblings, also painters.
G. Ventrillon very early followed the example of his brothers. He attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nancy.
In 1930, he undertook a trip to Algeria where he stayed for two years.
He painted landscapes of an amiable bill, very colorful still lifes and portraits of personalities on command.
He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Lorrains and Galerie Moser devoted his own exhibitions.
His works can be found at the Musée des Beaux Arts and at the Musée Historique Lorrain in Nancy.
