André Benoît Perrachon (1827-1909) - Bouquet of Flowers

André Benoît Perrachon was born in Lyon in 1827.

He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, and had Chabal-Dussurgey as a professor, who was a renowned specialist in floral paintings. Perrachon then continued his studies in Paris and was the student of Lepage.

In 1850, he exhibited at the Salon of Paris where his paintings received a very favorable reception. He also won a mention in 1859 and again in 1863.

André Benoît Perrachon was particularly known for his still lifes of flowers where he excelled in being able to depict gracefulness in his compositions, harmony in colors, and having a refined brushstroke.
