Early monstrance in copper with enamelwork Dated 1546
A small monstrance made of repoussé and gilded copper with ten round miniature enamelwork images of apostle heads surrounding the nodus. The sunburst top has a round "Holy Host" container retaining the original glass and is surmounted by a double-sided cross with an image of the crucified Christ and an image of Mary. The whole resting on a slightly arched pedestal "mandorla"-shape base, engraved with the name the donor : "DONNE PAR NICOLE BOLLART and the date "1546", in between a crest containing three heads and a lozenge, surmounted by the letter "M" (probably the maker's mark).
