A small limestone sculpture of a stead lion, its mouth wide open with its teeth visible, the manes are beautifully detailed, the left paw is resting on a French shield called "écu français ancien", as it is called in heraldry. It is an exceptional sculpture, for its quality, but especially for its small dimensions.
