Ferrières-La-Petite - Terrine in trompe l'oeil - Around 1800
Terrine trompe l'oeil earthenware Ferrieres-La-Petite figuring a hen protecting an egg and chicks on a sticky tray decorated with small polychrome light predominantly manganese.
The oval display stand bordered with decor on the edge of combed green and pink fillets.
Note the unusual attitude of the hen looking at her cubs compared to other models known with the
head lying on the body.
