Large dish with berain decoration - Moustiers 18th century
Large earthenware dish of MOUSTIERS, oval shape fretwork type goldsmith. Fine blue camaïeu decoration called "à la BERAIN", a rich architectural ornamentation embellished with children riding sphinges, terms, foliated scrolls, vases, firepot and small grotesque characters. In the center, JUPITER on his eagle, resting on a squared pattern. Lace frieze and blue fillets at the edge of the wing, slightly rounded.
Period: First half of the 18th century.
Workshop: CLERISSY. Very good condition, small chips on three points, no restoration.
