Commode Stamped Nicolas Petit, Louis XVI period, 18th century
Important Louis XVI period commode in tulipwood veneer. Beautiful garniture of finely chiselled and gilded bronzes such as laurel branches and intertwined ribbons, garlands of roses and laurel plaited with ribbons, laurel wreaths and oak leaves with ribbons tied at the natural lock entrances. Its four tapered legs are entirely veneered with rosewood and shod with neoclassical bronzes.
Covered with a white marble tray.
