A fine small alabaster sculpture of a sleeping putto. He is laying on his right side on a draped sheet, his head resting on his right arm, while sucking on his left hand which is covered by the drapery.
After François Duquesnoy (1597-1643). Flemish school. 17th century.
Dimensions: length 20,5cm ; width 12,3cm ; height 3,5cm
Condition: in good condition apart from some slight damage and an old repair top the bottom of the feet (see pictures). The alabaster has retained a beautiful silky patina.
