Kôgô - Two small urushi lacquer boxes. Shape of musical instruments with plucked string using on traditional Japanese music names Koto. Flowering branches and birds flying on a black background. Inside Nashiji lacquer. This set of small boxes receive the small pieces of incense used during this ceremony. Japan Edo (1603-1868) end of the 18th century.
